New certification of X-Auth Authentication using Radius!

Paris, France, Jun 16th, 2009 -- New certification of X-Auth Authentication using Radius Server and TheGreenBow IPSec VPN Client software to establish secure VPN connections have been performed by D-Link.
The architecture includes the use of X-Auth login/password, the D-Link DFL-800 router, the WinRadius Radius Server 4.00 and TheGreenBow IPSec VPN Client 4.6.
The user credentials are conveyed to the VPN Router using X-Auth and the DFL-800 VPN router checks them against the WinRadius Server using RADIUS. The D-Link DFL-800 uses its 'external Radius server' capability. When they request VPN Connection, users enter the X-Auth login/pwd which are conveyed up to the VPN router inside the VPN connections and passed along using Radius to the Radius server.

See the full architecture and tutorial on using X-Auth Authentication with Radius server.

If you have deployed similar RADIUS, LDAP architecture with 2 way factor tokens to setup VPN connections, we'd love to share it, please post it here.

New certification of 2 Way Factor Authentication using Radius!

Paris, France, Jan 16th, 2009 -- New certification of Authenex ASAS Server (AAA server), OTP tokens and TheGreenBow IPSec VPN Client have been performed by Zyxel.
The architecture includes a 2 Way Factor Authentication token (ZyWALL OTP pack) to enhance password security, the ZyWALL 35 IPSec VPN router, the Authenex ASAS Authentication Server v3 (i.e. RADIUS) and TheGreenBow IPSec VPN Client 4.5.
The user credentials are conveyed to the VPN Router using X-Auth and the VPN router checks them against the ASAS Server using RADIUS.

Here are the simple steps of the tutorial:
1.Install the ASAS authentication server (Authenex AAA server) on a computer and create a user account.2.Import each OTP token's database file over into the ASAS Authentication server (Authenex AAA server).3.Assign the users to the OTP tokens within the ASAS server admin (Authenex AAA server).4.Configure the ZyWALL VPN router to use an external RADIUS server.5.Configure TheGreenBow IPSec VPN Client and give the OTP tokens away to the users who will remote login.

See the full architecture and tutorial on 2 Way Factor Authentication with Radius or pdf.

If you have deployed similar RADIUS, LDAP architecture with 2 way factor tokens, we'd love to share it, please post it here.
